Meet the innovator

My name is Santina Cross. I am the innovator of Chakra Sun Signs. This discovery was not a single or sudden revelation, but rather a long unknowing path of discovering Spirit’s presence in my life. Looking back, I can see how spirit was always with me, however my true spiritual awakening began in 1996. That year I began having prophetic dreams about various people in my life that proved to be accurate.

These experiences stirred something in me. I began to think there might be more to the world than what I could see. The Christmas of 1996, I asked for Tarot cards. My favorite Aunt, Kay, gifted me my first deck. I was interested to learn how tarot held the secrets of the occult world and how I might discover them.

As I studied the structure of Tarot, I became intrigued by the symbolism, numbers, archetypes, astrological signs and elements woven into each card. This led me deeper into astrology and the sun signs. Through study and observation, I began to realize how numbers carry meaning and how the zodiac signs reflected life patterns.

It was during this quest for knowledge that I found a book called, “Linda Goodman’s Love Signs.” At the back of Goodman’s book, she includes an index where I learned which element’s rule which signs, and what jobs we share. I was intrigued to explore how the four elements of the zodiac (FIRE, EARTH, WATER, AIR) and three jobs (Leader, Organizer Communicator) could shape people’s behaviors and their relationships into seven distinct ways. Seven has always been my favorite number. It universally symbolizes transcendental connection, fulfillment, and spiritual introspection.

I had a hunch that there was a reason there were seven combinations. In 2001, while browsing in a mystic bookstore, I happened upon a chakra system chart. Noticing that there were seven chakras, I immediately bought it. I wondered if these seven chakras might have any connection to our seven sun sign connections. That day I made a list of the seven sun sign combinations and matched them with the seven chakras in a journal entry. I assumed this information was out there, and I just hadn’t found it yet.

It wasn’t until 2010, while learning Reiki, from my Master Laurena Fisher, that I was formally introduced to the chakra system. As I learned about these seven energy centers, the more familiar they sounded to the seven astrological combinations.

It occurred to me that our sun signs did not represent our personality, but rather our spiritual purpose on this earth. If the energy of color, movement, sound, smell and more are essentially absorbed through one of seven chakras, then the energy we create with our fellow sun signs must be too. What this means is, we are all sources of light for one another.
